One of the outstanding stories in The Industrialist's Brush recounts how Harry lent a picture of the Humphry Marshall house to actor Claude Raines and upon Mr Raines' death, the painting disappeared...or so we thought.
In preparation for the 300th anniversary of Humphry Marshall's birth in his namesake village of Marshallton, I came into contact with the current owner of the painting, who lives in Marshallton! We are still arranging specifics but we may be able to write the close of this story with more clarity and hopefully share an image of this painting that hasn't been seen publicly for over 50 years.
